How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) After Login

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring not only your password but also a verification code from an authentication app. Follow these steps to set up 2FA after logging into our system.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log In to Your Account
- Enter your username and password as usual to log in.

2. Access the 2FA Setup Page
- After logging in, you will be directed to the 2FA setup page where you will see a QR code displayed.

3. Download Google Authenticator
- If you don’t have an authentication app installed, we recommend downloading Google Authenticator.
- For Android Users: Open the Google Play Store, search for "Google Authenticator," and install the app.
- For iOS Users: Open the App Store, search for "Google Authenticator," and install the app.

4. Open Google Authenticator
- Once installed, open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device.

5. Scan the QR Code
- In the Google Authenticator app, tap on the "+" button or "Set up account."
- Select "Scan a barcode" and point your device’s camera at the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
- The app will automatically add your account and generate a 6-digit verification code.

6. Enter the Verification Code
- Back on the 2FA setup page, you will see a field labeled "Verify Code" or similar.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the Google Authenticator app into the verification field.
- Note that this code changes every 30 seconds, so make sure to enter it promptly.

7. Complete the Setup
- After entering the code, click on the "Verify" or "Submit" button to complete the 2FA setup.
- You should see a confirmation message indicating that 2FA has been successfully enabled for your account.

Tips for Using 2FA

- Regularly Update Your Authentication App: Ensure that your authentication app is up to date to benefit from the latest security features.
- Secure Your Mobile Device: Since your 2FA codes are generated on your mobile device, make sure it is secured with a strong password or biometric authentication.
- Keep Backup Codes Handy: Backup codes are crucial if you lose your device or uninstall the app by accident.

By following these steps, you can enhance the security of your account with 2FA. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please contact our support team!
